New Training & Workshop Sessions

We have recently updated our standard workshop and training sessions. These sessions are designed to be delivered ‘as is’ with little to no customisation. Our new sessions are divided into two groups:

  • General Training and Workshop Sessions.
  • Anti-racism/DEI Training in a global workforce

While we are excited about all our training sessions we are really looking forward to the ‘Anti-racism/DEI Training in a global workforce‘ sessions. These sessions are designed for those organisations that work across borders; e.g. International Development organisations. At BRK Ujima we value experiential knowledge and lived experience and these particular sessions are based on our own experiences as Black women working within international development. We recognise the unique way privilege, discrimination, and differences function across borders. For instance, the way expatriate is used to describe a certain type of person living and working abroad in contrast to how the word migrant is deployed. We are also too familiar with the concepts of white saviourism and the harmful racist stereotypes this perpetuates. These are some of the issues we address in our ‘Anti-racism/DEI Training in a global workforce‘ sessions.

Of course, we still offer our bespoke training sessions and related services. We can also customise our standard packages to meet your organisation’s needs. To find out more, please get in touch.
